Spiritual Growth and the Christian Life

Our desire is to see followers of Jesus grow deep in their love for God and allow His Word and the work of the Holy Spirit to transform their lives in holy living!  What does a fully devoted follower of Christ look like?    How should they be growing spiritually?

We believe there are 4 Spiritual Growth Arenas believers should enter to mature spiritually.

     Personal Spiritual Growth

The importance of growing personally in one’s walk with the Lord by regularly being in prayer and reading the Word of God.  Click here for more Personal Growth resources to help you grow spiritually in your private time with God.

     Corporate Spiritual Growth

The importance of coming together and committing to a body of believers under the teaching and   preaching of pastor/shepherd leaders in a local congregation. (Acts 2:42-46; Acts 5:42; Hebrews 10:24-25; Hebrews 13:17)  We meet for cooperate worship every Sunday morning at 10:30.

     Discipleship Spiritual Growth

The importance of not simply being under the teaching/preaching of another, but of establishing a level of intimacy in teaching that allows for interaction and questions and encourages accountability, fellowship and mutual growth (usually in a small group context) that is not necessarily possible in a corporate way.  We call this Biblical Discipleship.  Click here for more on Biblical Discipleship.  Two general groups that meet each week are Sunday School at 9:30 and Wednesday Bible Study at 7.

     Outreach Spiritual Growth

The importance of giving out to others in spiritual service.  All intake with no output will lead to spiritual stagnation.   God has given each person in the body of Christ spiritual gifts that are to be used to support their local church body and to minister to others.  (Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12) Click here to take a Spirit Gifts Survey.  Click here for more of our Ministry Outreach.
